What's new in 4.0 Major enhancement for performance capturing Uses native NT performance monitor objects - any counters can be logged (including non-SQL Server counters). Alert on performance counters You can easily have contiouos alerting defined for any performance counter. Support for Windows 2000 and SQL Server 2000 Major user interface enhancements The user interface now presents the servers as registered in SQL Server Enterprise Manager. The user-interface also supports the "right-click" method for most actions. Interactive restore and backup/DBCC/etc Great for MSDE installations and ad-hoc operations. Enhanced flexibility for email alerting Email destinations can be configured independently for Information, Warning and Error and each can have several email operators defined. Quick setup enhancements A quick setup definition can be exported to a text file for later deployment. Exclude error messages Error messages can be excluded based on error number or string match.
