Diagram of information schema views

These views are the recommended way to get to meta-data in SQL Server. The views were introduced in SQL Server 7.0 and has been expanded a bit in SQL Server 2000. They are standardised in the ANSI SQL standard, so queries that read meta-data through these views will run on all DBMS's that implement these views.
The diagrams reflect SQL Servers implementation of the views (a product doesn't neccesarily implements all views in the ANSI SQL standard).
