Log Options

Right-click anywhere in the right pane of the main window while showing the Db Maint log to get to this dialog.

Delete log frame

Delete entire log

This option will delete all rows in the Db Maint log.

Delete entries older than __ days

This will delete all entries older than the specified number of days

Delete all tasks named __

Chose the task name for which you will delete all rows.

Delete all tasks of error type __

Chose the type (INFORMATION, WARNING, ERROR) for which you want to delete all rows.

To perform the delete, press the Delete button.

Note that the Db Maint server (dbm.exe) can also truncate the log at each execution. This is configurable in the Server Properties dialog.

Export log frame

You can choose to export the Db Maint log to a text file. All rows in the table (msdb..dbmsyslog) will be exported to the text file. The file can also be sent as an attachment to an email.
