Client Properties

Dbmaint00000023.gif

These settings control what the Db Maint client is to display in its log pane in the main window. This information is stored in the client computer registry and is user dependent.

Display last __ days

Db Maint will only display the specified number of days in the log pane.

Display last __ rows

Db Maint will only display the specified number of rows in the log pane.

Available Tasks and Exclude tasks from view

You can choose to exclude tasks from the Db Maint log window. This is useful for tasks that are frequently executed, but might be less critical (for instance a task that collects performance data each hour).

Login timeout

Specify timeout (in seconds) before Db Maint presents an error message at connect time if a server is not found. You might want to increase the value if you have a slow connection to the SQL Server machine.

SQL Query timeout

Specify the amount of time to wait for any SQL Query submitted by the client before a timeout is received.

Log refresh interval

The client log pane will refresh automatically if this is set to > 0. This is very useful if you want to leave the Db Maint client open and want it to be auto-refreshed.

Connect on left mouse click

Db Maint will connect to the selected SQL Server on left mouse button click (you don’t have to right-click and select “Connect”) when this option is selected.
